Additionally, the Board approved a balanced budget that prioritizes the College's operational needs and includes increased funding for technology. There will also be projects aimed at improving classroom safety and communication with current and new students.

According to the most recent information provided by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, state appropriations for the College for fiscal year 2024 will be $13,526,366, a 14% increase compared to 2023 due to a new funding formula approved by the State's Legislators in July.
